New Product — DrDAQ Oxygen Sensor

The DrDAQ oxygen sensor measures the concentration of oxygen gas in air. Unlike many previously available oxygen sensors, the DD103 oxygen sensor can measure the full 0 to 100% range. This makes it ideal for many chemistry, biology and physics experiments.

As with all sensors for the DrDAQ data logger, the oxygen sensor is simple to set up and use, it requires no power supply and will be automatically recognised, so that results are displayed in the correct units.

Application Story — Hillview Animal Sanctuary

Hillview Animal Sanctuary in County Cork, Ireland is a rescue centre for cats and kittens. The sanctuary can have in the region of 100 cats in residence at any one time.

Young kittens and cats in poor condition have specialised requirements for the temperature of their enclosures.

New Science Experiments

Our library of science experiments for data loggers and oscilloscopes continues to grow. New this month is an experiment showing the use of the DrDAQ Oxygen sensor . This experiment looks at the drop in oxygen levels when a candle is lit in a sealed enclosure.
