PicoScope 7 Software
Available on Windows, Mac and Linux
Pico Technology are pleased to announce the launch and immediate availability of two new oscilloscope products.
The ADC-212/100 has both a high sampling rate (100MS/s) and a high resolution (12 bits). This combination makes the product ideal for use both as a digital storage oscilloscope and also as a high end 50MHz spectrum analyzer.
The ADC-212/100 also features a large 128K buffer memory which is ideal for capturing complex waveforms which can then be expanded to reveal all the detail.
The ADC-212/100 is priced at 699 (approx $1000 USD / 1120 EUR). Also available is the ADC-212/50 which has a 50MS/s sampling rate and is priced at 499 GBP (approx 725 USD / 800 EUR).

Pico is pleased to announce full support for the latest Microsoft operating system, Windows XP. We have been testing our products with XP for some months now and can confirm that the current software release R5.07.4 is compatible.
To install software for XP from the web site or from the R5.07.4 CD, please select Windows NT/2000 as the operating system (Windows XP is built on a 2000/NT code base). To install the software, you must be logged in with 'computer administrator' privileges.
In the September newsletter we carried details of an article first published in ‘Sensor Review’ magazine entitled ‘Improving the accuracy of temperature measurements’. This article has now been translated and published in the German magazine ‘Elektronik Journal’.
If you are using an ADC-212 for automotive diagnostics, we would like your help.
We are currently making improvements to both PicoScope and the documentation to make the ADC-212 both more useful and easier to use. The improvements come in the form of a drop down menu in PicoScope which lists all the typical signals you may wish to measure (ABS, Injectors, Ignition etc). If you select, for example, secondary ignition, a sample waveform is loaded together with all the scope settings. In addition a web page of help information is available with advice on making secondary ignition measurements.
If you would be interested in beta testing this software, please send a e-mail to tech@picotech.com with the subject 'automotive software'.
Please note this software is ONLY suitable for ADC-212 users.
Our library of science experiments for data loggers and oscilloscopes continues to grow. New this month is 'Measuring the shutter speed of a camera'
