PicoScope 7 Software
Available on Windows, Mac and Linux
The new PicoScope 2205 MSO is our first mixed–signal oscilloscope. It’s a compact USB–powered device that enables you to view 2 analog and 16 digital signals on your PC’s screen.
The scope uses the well–established PicoScope software, so if you’re an experienced PicoScope operator there’s no need to learn a new user interface. The analog inputs work like those on any other PicoScope, and the digital inputs have edge and level–sensitive triggering options with programmable thresholds.
Here are the main features of the PicoScope 2205 MSO:

Our thanks to all those who entered the draw and attended the product launch at the Productronica show in November 2011.
PicoScope training videos: part 6
On our youtube channel, you will find a wealth of video material designed to help you use your scope more effectively. Here are some of the latest new videos, this month focusing on the Serial Decodingfeatures of PicoScope 6:
There are many more videos than we can list here, so please explore picoscope.tv and find the one that will answer your questions. You can also help us improve our content by leaving your comments below the videos.
Application note: high–resolution scopes
How much resolution do you need from your scope? We test three Pico oscilloscopes: the 8–bit PicoScope 2205, the 12–bit PicoScope 4423 and the 16–bit PicoScope 4262. The results show how resolution affects the sensitivity of spectrum measurements.
Read “High–Resolution Oscilloscopes”. No registration required.
PicoLog Ethernet Auto–Reconnect
If you’re using PicoLog with an Ethernet Data Logger like the PT-104 or CM3, you might want it to recover automatically from network disconnections. PicoLog can auto’reconnect to Ethernet devices if the option is set inFile > Preferences > Auto Reconnect. This option is disabled by default to save CPU resources.
PicoScope Phase Angle Measurement
You can use a Math Channel in PicoScope to measure the phase difference between two inputs. The formula you need is posted on our forum under “PicoScope 4424 Phase Angle Measurements”. Be sure to read the advice about using rulers to confine the measurement to the stable part of the math channel.
