COVID-19: Coronavirus

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Pico Technology has adopted new working practices. Many of our employees are now working remotely from their homes. However, the Pico Technology business is still very much up and running!

Our staff have video conferencing and other tools to support you remotely with:

  • Product demonstrations
  • Training
  • Sales and any other enquiries - tell us what you need!
The Technical Support team is operating as normal, and product development is continuing uninterrupted. Manufacture of Pico products in the UK is continuing as normal: we have a good supply of components, accessories and other materials needed to keep production running.

We have sufficient stock of most Pico Test & Measurement products for several weeks, but please check with our Sales team before placing any large orders. Please note that, because of reduced air-freight capacity, shipments to some destinations may take longer than usual. Please bear with us as we work through these issues.

Although our industry and the worldwide economy is challenged by the COVID-19 outbreak, we believe we have taken the right steps to safeguard our employees and implement a robust plan to serve our customers around the world. Working closely with you, our customers, we will emerge stronger from the outbreak.

In this video, recorded at Embedded World 2020, Business Development Manager Trevor Smith demonstrates how to use PicoScope's serial decoding feature to analyze an I2C signal with the brand new 500 MHz, 8-channel PicoScope 6000E Series oscilloscopes.

We had a great time at Embedded World and were delighted to meet so many people at our stand.

Among them was Electronic Specifier's Mick Elliott, who dropped by to talk to our Business Development Manager, Trevor Smith, about the new PicoScope 6000E Series.
Other visitors included Adam Varga, Bernd Rednoß and Sebastian Arnold, our daily prize draw winners! Each of them is now the proud owner of a PicoScope 2208B MSO, worth €849 – congratulations!

This compact but powerful scope has two analog channels plus 16 digital inputs, 100 MHz bandwidth, 128 MS capture memory and a maximum sampling rate of 1 GS/s.

Software update
PicoLog 6 icon
PicoLog 6.1.15 is now stable, and features automatic updates, so you'll never have to check for new stable releases again! Just open the Settings, click Updates & Privacy and select Check for updates to PicoLog at startup.

This software was released as a public beta last month, and includes support for the new PicoScope 4823 8-channel automotive oscilloscope. It also fixes a bug in the math channel and alarms features.

For more information, please see the release notes.

All-new software in beta: PicoScope 7 Automotive Beta is now available to try.
PicoScope 7 Automotive Beta: open to all
You may have spotted that a beta version of PicoScope 7 has been released, for use with the PicoScope 4225 and 4425 Automotive Oscilloscopes. If you'd like to try it out, you can download it here.

There's increased touchscreen support, detachable viewports, support for multiple displays and more, and there are feature-parity versions for Windows, Linux and macOS!
This software will only work with these two automotive oscilloscopes, however, and it will be some time before a version suitable for use with our wide range of Test & Measurement devices becomes available.

PicoScope 6 is hugely popular, with over 100 000 users worldwide, and we're still developing and adding features to it: recently this has included serial decoders for BroadR-Reach, DALI and Manchester. And when we do release PicoScope 7, it will, of course, be available free of charge to all PicoScope customers.
