Time-domain reflectometry in action at Electronica
Pico Applications Engineer Stuart Murlis shows a PicoScope 9000 Series sampling oscilloscope being used for time-domain reflectometry (TDR). TDR is a powerful technique for investigating issues on feed lines, PCB tracks and other high-frequency components. PicoScope gives you a straightforward plot of impedance against distance, allowing you to pinpoint mismatches and other faults.

If you're keen on automation, you may already be using IFTTT (If This Then That), an internet service that aims to build a more connected world for your smart devices. PicoLog can easily issue commands through IFTTT using its Alarms feature, so it can send you a notification email or switch devices on and off when a parameter crosses a threshold.
