Nissan Micra ABS sensor testing.

Post by SteveeP »

Hi, everyone first post on the Forum, could I have some testing tips for checking active abs sensors, I've got a rear sensor malfunction with a fault code: C102F=Right Rear Sensor-Open circuit/Short circuit(Active).
Live data with the scan tool shows no rpm on that wheel, the customer has had a replacement sensor (pattern) installed which was done at another garage but it didn't cure the problem. As a test I removed the good working sensor from the left rear and plugged it onto the right rear harness, this didn't change the fault so I then checked continuity back to the abs module with an ohms meter and both lines tested ok, so then I've removed and sent the abs module away to specialists for service/repair, received a call yesterday from them that the unit passed all the test with no faults. I've obviously missed something in not diagnosing it correctly.
Can you please advise me how to test the sensor signal and Pico settings needed, my Pico model is the 2 channel 2204A. Vehicle= Nissan Micra,1.2Petrol, K12, 2009. Apologies for the long post.
