Problems with inaccurate 1216 readings

I want meas current with 1216, when the power supply supplies power to the measured object, the current of the power supply is displayed as 310mA. (Figure 1)

According to the wiring diagram, I welded an 8 ohm resistance in R2. (Figure 2)

Connect the terminal board in series to the circuit, and the current of the power supply is displayed as 400+mA. (Figure 3)

Why？
