Serial Decoding for Pulse-Width modulation Class II serial line

Post by Vlad8192 »

Hello,

Is there a serial decoder in pico software that could be used for Pulse-Width modulation Class II serial data line? (used in GM cars)

Or any decoder protocol that uses Pulse-Width modulation with single line/channel?

It uses single wire.
Here's description found by now:
"Class 2 serial data is transmitted on a single
wire at an average of 10.4 Kbps (10,400 bits per second). This value is an average, class 2
uses a variable pulse width modulation to carry data and, depending on the message, it may
operate faster or slower. The bus is active at 7.0 volts nominal and inactive at ground potential. "

Will update if I find more information.
Thank you!

I would suggest you sign up on our dedicated automotive forum https://www.picoauto.com/support/index.php where you will find other users diagnosing issues with GM cars.
