Re: ID CAN decoding in DEC

If yo open it it is in hex but if you set it to decimal you get this. This started somewhere in the transition from picoscope 5 to 6 i think. https://www.ans-bv.nl/picotech/20191010-0005%20accel%20200ms%20with%20can.psdata in hex the ID is shown with a space in between and that is the root problem i...

Re: Advanced Trigger: Logical AND between 2 channels

do you have an example in picoscope software and can you post a .psdata of the triggered data.

Because edges never occur exactly at the same time.

Re: 2000 series vs 3000 series

You get USB3 speeds for streaming and faster update rates on the screen.
And you can get 4 ch + MSO, and more memory (not so much compared to the 2208B).

Re: Spectrum dropping

If you had added the scope view you could have seen the measured values are out of range.
So the low spectrum is because you have almost no signal because all signal is clipping to the top or bottom of the range.

Probably because you had 50/60 Hz (looks like 60) hum on the signal.

Re: Odd behavior with errored messages

you can try a wetransfer for the .psdata if it is too big.

If the nodes are not galvanic isolated the you need to connect all the 0V signals of all the power supply's together.
Also make sure all nodes use extended addressing mode.

I hope my programming experience is enough to decode, but my "trial and error method" means check all possible combinations to extract reasonably correct outputs. You need mo...

It was done with the low budged 2204A scope, so any scope in the pico range can decode this.

Re: Odd behavior with errored messages

Other question popped op looking at the image you posted.

Do all nodes use galvanic isolation between the bus ant their internal power, if not are all nodes powered from the same power supply ?

Re: Odd behavior with errored messages

Can you post a .psdata file Do you have duplicate CAN nodes in the network ? For example 2 nodes with the same ID. Judging from the voltages in the message the message is rejected by multiple nodes. (crc error ?) What is the length of the bus and topology, where are the termination resistors on the ...

Re: New *.pcs format

.psdata on closed format you don't get the format layout. Depending on your skills and programming experience you can try to decode .psdata files. they are not that complicated. But why all the trouble i think it is easy to make a python or c++ converter van .CVS to .pcs P.S. I have looked a little ...

Re: Device selection as USB signal generator

What is the amplitude you want to use the sig gen for. Because picoscope output is max +2V and min -2V into an high impedance load. As Gerry mentioned there is a 600Ω output impedance. This means if you load the output with a load of 600Ω the maximum signal you get over the 600Ω is +1V and -1V. If y...

You can set a trigger on the voltage is above 50mv.

then you wil only see the change you want.
