Hi. As you have a PicoScope 5000 you have access to the DeepMeasure feature in the lastest software. This will give higher resolution / more digits for your frequency measurement. https://www.picotech.com/library/oscilloscopes/deepmeasure Your PicoScope 5444B has a timebase accuracy of ±2 ppm (±1 pp...
Hi, A couple of suggestions - first check with no trigger that when you measure across the 9V battery the line on the scope trace jumps from 0V to 9V (just in case there is a duff lead or odd setting on the scope). I suggest you set the timebase to say 500ms/div and you should be able to see the lin...
Hi, The human heartbeat is a small signal to pickup in a noisy environment. Can I suggest you try to make sure there are no mains cables near your body, try running the laptop of batteries and perhaps switch off any lights near you. Proper medical ECG machines tend to use 3 electrodes - one of which...
Hi, The noise level from the PicoScope 2206B data sheet says that the noise is < 220 μV RMS (±20 mV range) From your capture it looks as if you are on the ±200 mV range and have zoomed in vertically. As you use higher voltage ranges the noise will increase to move than the 220uV RMS figure but will ...
Rather than collect 32 short buffers (eg of 1ms/div) try collecting one longer one (eg 20ms/div). You can then zoom in and see all the detail in one continuous block.
Can I ask why you are trying to use such an old beta - current releases are R6.12 available free for your device from the download option at the top of each page.
If you have a specific reason to need an old release then I suggest you email support.
Hi, Yes the 3205D is fast enough to capture / display BroadR-Reach. We do not yet have decoder for this but add new decoders for free regularly (We just added CAN FD in the last week or so). I will add this as another request for the protocol which helps move it up the list but can not make any prom...
Just to add a bit more info to the reply from Hitesh. CAN FD is one of the decoders we are working on at the moment. It may be a few months however before it makes it into a full release. When it does it will be available for all PicoScope users free of charge. If any customers are using CAN FD at t...
Hi, Firstly PCs and Macs report CPU use differently - if you run a quad core CPU flat out a PC will report 100% whilst a Mac will report 400%. Running in demo mode always uses more CPU resources than running with a PicoScope attached as the PC has to generate the waveform as well as display it. Whet...
Please can you try collecting and displaying a similar amount of data in PicoScope software with the same trigger conditions / AWG settings. If PicoScope is working normally then we can rule out any hardware or driver issues and the problem seems likely to be in the code you have written. We will ne...
I do this all the time and never had an issue (across Europe and US). A few times I get asked by customs what it is so its best to take the paper quick start guide with you. Show this and they seem OK.
Good to hear you have a PicoScope 3000. Clicking when changing vertical range is something pretty much all digital scope do. Its the noise of relays changing state in the analogue front end circuit.
Just to add as well - if you look at the datasheet you can choose between a 12 or 14 bit output data width but its not a 14 bit ADC. Oddly its 13 bits so you can choose to either drop the least significant bit which is mostly noise or have the 13th bit at the expense of slowing the product down. If ...
