Re: delay through a TA057 differential probe

Can't you just connect another regular scope channel to the same input signal (at a voltage lever that can handle of course) and check for any difference between the channels? Would tell you what you really get, not just a theoretical estimate.

Re: Only the last waveform saved when streaming?

Okay, at least what's going on is making sense then! I hope that will be fixed in the future, but I get that the obsolete models aren't the priority. I'll just stick with Pico 6 when i need maximum samples in multiple waveforms for now, and go with Pico 7 to learn that when less samples/waveforms wi...

Re: Only the last waveform saved when streaming?

No, that's not what I'm seeing unfortunately, I get the max number of waveforms that totals 2MS together. At 500kS I get 4 waveforms maximum as in the picture, at 2MS I get one single waveform, at 100kS I get max 20 waveforms. In Pico 6 it works as you describe. I know the 2003 is old and obsolete, ...

Re: Only the last waveform saved when streaming?

I'm back again. But now I think see what's going on. When I use streaming mode in Pico 6 I can use max 2MS per channel (max for my scope model, so that's as it should be), but I get those 2MS in every waveform. If I'm saving 32 waveforms I can have 32 waveforms at 2MS each. In Pico 7 progressive mod...

Re: Only the last waveform saved when streaming?

Can you disable the trigger and repeat the test. Well, that was interesting! I started Pico 7, changed time to 200ms/div to go to streaming mode, the problem was there. Went to trigger and disabled it, the problem went away. Reactivated the trigger, tried different trigger settings, restarted Pico ...

Re: Pico 7 vs. laptop sleep mode?

Some more tests shows that it works if I unplug the USB before going to sleep mode, and plug it back in after waking it up. Not ideal, but it does the job good enough for occasional "off grid" work.

Re: Only the last waveform saved when streaming?

Here's printscreens both from stream and block mode, but I've tried changed those settings without any change to the number of saved waveforms. As you see there's 14 (and counting) waveforms saved in block mode, but it's stuck on 1 while streaming.

Pico 7 vs. laptop sleep mode?

As a laptop has a somewhat limited battery life I tried putting the laptop in sleep mode - would be nice to avoid running down the battery while moving test leads or making other changes when the scope isn't in use. Running Pico 7 in demo mode it comes back to life as windows resumes from sleep mode...

Only the last waveform saved when streaming?

When I run Pico 7 in streaming mode I only get one waveform; it fills the screen, then deletes that and starts over at the next trigger event. In block mode I get all the 64 waveforms saved (or whatever number I've set it to save), but I want to use the larger number of samples streaming mode allows...

You can use all channels and the AWG at the same time.

Re: 2000 series not compatible with pico 7 software?

I believe that the pico automotive softaware would be of great value to me in the environment where the 2204a is already actively engaged. So how about allowing those of us who cannot afford or justify well over £1000 for intermittent DIY use, just to use software that could be used if you didn't a...

Re: PicoScope 7 T&M Early Access program - Introduction

The spec sheets of many PicoScope models give a higher performance in Maximum sampling rate (continuous USB streaming into PC memory) than the PicoScope 6 software when using the PicoSDK. Will the PicoScope 7 come closer to the performance of the PicoSDK? It would also be very nice if the max recor...

Re: Oscilloscope or PicoScope?

If you will be working with digital signals, perhaps a MSO (mixed signal oscilloscope) is for you? Pico has several versions, and the same goes for other manufacturers. MSOs have both the analog input channels for measuring changes in voltage, and a number of digital channels that just reads 1:s and...

I don't believe you can. You can of course check the scope against a voltage reference, but I don't think you can change what the scope reads.

Very different sensitivity on 1V and 2V range, 2203

I got a second hand 2203 a while back, for the most part it works very well with Pico 6. The one issue I have is that it seems to have very different sensitivity for short voltage spikes when I change between 1V (or less) and 2V (or more) ranges, and that's also the change when I hear a relay inside...
