Signal Generator for PicoScope 6

Post by stevehickey »

With my 4424 PicoScope, Demo mode enables the signal generator allowing AWG and CSV save/load. But I can't find any way to move them into the PS6 channels. Is it possible to acquire the Signal Generator as a stand-alone?
I'd also like to take this opportunity to suggest the Pico are very short-sighted by preventing the CSV import - it actually stymies their potential rather than protecting from misuse!

Hi Steve,

The Signal Generator is a hardware tool that is controlled by our PicoScope 6 software. You have to connect the Signal Generator output to a Scope Channel input in order to capture data from it. So, you can't move it around like a software function (the Demo software runs a simulation of the signals).

Unfortunately, the PicoScope 4224 and 4424 don't have Signal Generator hardware.

Hi Gerry,
Does the Picoscope 4224A have Signal Generator Hardware ? I saw on datasheet we can use Signal Generator but it seems impossible according to you. I would like import .csv data to create signal but it doesn't work. I don't know how I should proceed. Or maybe I just can't ?
