Custom Range Settings - is it possible

Post by baileyt3 »

Hi, I have a PicoScope 2204A and most of the time I want to measure logic voltages, all the ranges I can select are +/-, so for TTL logic you have to select +/- 10V range otherwise any noise or a signal just abouve 5V keeps triggering the Overvoltage warning, because of having to select +/-10V the signal is 1/4 of the screen using 2 channels.
Is there a way to create a custom range i.e. -0.5V to +6V , this would allow a much larger area of the screen to see the waveforms.
p.s. I tried creating a Custom Probe with -1V to 6V on a +/- 10 range, but this didn't work and I can't find anywhere that says this is possible.

Set the scope to +/- 10 V and click on the square box on the bottom.
There you can set the scale to 2, then you have almost what you want.

Many thanks, I had played with those settings, but hadn't quite got what I wanted, using your advice, I set it to X2 and an offset of -8% and thats as you say, almost what I wanted, but a great improvement.

Thanks again
