is PS5xxxD the same as my PS5xxxA?

I ask this question (subject) because the PS5xxxA is not referenced to by the Download page.

You will find your device listed under the Discontinued Products in column 1 of the downloads,

The primary difference is that the D models are USB3, the A models are USB2.
