Automatically saves waveforms when triggered

Post by Tao »

Hi everyone,
I want to save more than 1000 waveforms to local folder for offline analysis. I can't seem to find a function on Picoscope 7 that will automatically save to the waveforms to local folder when triggered.
The log in the measurement tool only saves the results of the measurement, but not the waveforms.
Does anyone has a suggestion?

you can do this with alarms.
be aware you can fill your harddisk in a short amount of time if you have a lot of triggers.

In PicoScope 7 this has been renamed as Actions which can be found in the More Tools panel

You can trigger on different events
Events
Events
which can be used to cause an action or sequence of actions
Actions

Thank you very much for your answer.
I also have a question about the save action. The save action can only be turned off manually if I want to save the waveforms that the number > buffer size. For example, I want to save 1000, but the buffer is only 64.
Does PicoScope 7 have the ability to stop the save action when a certain number of waveforms have been captured, such as save 1000 waveforms, then stop saving.
Best,
Tao
