PT-104 and Ethernet connection

Post by andrea.gramazio »

Hello to everybody.
I've just bought the PT-104 Termometer datalogger and I would like to configure it for Ethernet connection.
I've strictly followed the manual, but there is no chance to connect via Ethernet.

Here are my steps:
- OS: Windows 11
- connected via USB to configure it via Picolog 6.2.8: set IP: 192.168.38.154, port 9873, Ethernet enabled
- disconnected USB cable and connected Ethernet Poe cable. Leds ON on the rear panel
- ping 192.168.38.154: it reply, ok
- open Picolog: it still to search devices... bad
- if I check in settings > Ethernet devices, I see the configured device with correct serial number (FQ707/104)
- start wireshark to analyze traffic: I see Picolog sending UDP packets to IP: 192.168.38.154, port 9873, content 'fff'. No reply from the device
- use nmap to check if the device has opened ports: no ports available @ 192.168.38.154. Ping still work
- also repeated above steps with different IP and ports

Any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance and best regards

Hi andrea.gramazio

You need to make sure that you have access to the same subnet. If you do and are still experiencing the same problem then contact our helpdesk at support@picotech.com.
