PT-104 and voltage inputs

Post by andrea.gramazio »

Hello to everybody,
I've just bought the PT-104 Temperature datalogger. As stated in the manual, It can be configured also for directly read voltage inputs. In Picolog 6.2.8, it is not possible configure the channel for voltage reading.
Is any update planned to include this possibility?
Thanks in advance and best regards, Andrea

Hi andrea.gramazio,

Sorry for the late response,

Unfortunately the answer to your question is No.

We are no longer recommending that customers use the PT-104 for Voltage measurement, and have removed references to this from our documentation and website, as a result. The reason for this is that it was originally designed as a high accuracy data acquisition device for measurement of Resistance and Temperature (which both use a reference resistor), while the same accuracy can not be derived from the measurement of Voltage.

If you still want to go ahead and use the Voltage Measurement capability, then you will need to contact our help desk, at support@picotech.com
