Totally new to data logger - any help is appreciated

Post by Damien DAFM »

Hi All,

I am totally new to data loggers and was hoping someone could advise me on the equipment and software I would need.

The goal is to be able to carry out kiln audits that apply Kiln Drying and/or Heat-Treatment to wood packaging material. I have seen the process being carried out but now need to become informed and proficient in carrying out these audits myself.

Is there a specific software, data logger and temperature probes that I should be using?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Damien

Our temperature loggers use PicoLog 6 software which comes free of charge.
https://www.picotech.com/library/data-l ... r-software
You can download it and try it out using the demo devices - https://www.picotech.com/downloads/_lig ... or-windows

First temperature logger we offer is a 8 channel thermocouple logger -
https://www.picotech.com/data-logger/tc ... ata-logger
Thermocouples sensors are very robust, and can measure from –250 to +1370°C

Second temperature logger we offer is a 4 channel RTD logger -
https://www.picotech.com/data-logger/pt ... rature-daq
RTD sensors are more accurate, but have small temperature ranges. –200 to +800 °C

We only sell a limited range of temperature sensors, in physical sizes and types.
But you can find a huge range of temperature sensors from 3rd party's that will work the loggers above.
