Inexpensive 4-ch Picoscope - Difference between 2000 and 3000 series

Post by owenfmurphy »

Hello, I am looking for an inexpensive 4-channel picoscope, and I am trying to understand the difference between the 2407B and the 3403D. It appears that most of the specs are the same, except that the 2407B has slightly higher BW (70MHz vs 50MHz), and it is slightly cheaper ($979 vs $1015). Given this information, is there any situation in which the 3403D would be preferable over the 2407B? For what it's worth, I am planning on using the math function to measure the difference between two channels for my application.

Hi Owen,

I'm responding to this quite late, but the reason is to suggest that this is not the best resource to use for this type of question. You should direct this kind of enquiry to our Help Desk at support@picotech.com, where a Technical specialist can give you a thorough comparison of the benefits of both models, based upon your specific measurement goals.
