I am new and just loaded everything. At first I got normal CAN signals then I hit the auto setup and that changed the wave to a falling square wave ( see attached) and I can not get the original wave back.

Your CAN bus is unterminated and you see the retry messages.
Terminate at least at 1 end with a 120 ohm resister.
Preferred both ends with a 120 ohm resistor.
