I need a general-purpose scope that includes CAN FD decoding. According to the Picoauto website, this is included with all scopes but you seem to sell different scopes for auto applications. The primary use will be troubleshooting and developing industrial electronics.
I guess my question comes down to what is the difference between automotive and general-purpose scopes? Do general-purpose scopes include CAN FD decoding?
BTW I can't figure out how to search for "CAN FD" even on the advanced tab, just says there are not enough letters.

Decoding is done in software so every scope supports it.
So you can not trigger on a specific message if you want that. PicoAuto can not do that either.
PicoAuto software has sample waveforms for different cars and are more protected for transient spikes.
Depending on what type of electronics you will do. My personal favorites:
1. Memory (at least 32MSamples memory)
2. MSO logic analyzer helped me out a lot of times.
3. use a 4 channel unit 2 are always not sufficient for complex problems.
4. If you do audio stuff go for a 12, 14 or 16 bit model.
