Trigger not working

Post by Iamsolost »

as my username says I am so lost.

I am simply trying to get a trigger to fire on an output from a 12v bench psu. I have a 2204a, and it seems like the minute i go over 2v, the scope slows way down and no trigger occurs. it seems to work fine all the way down to 10mv in awg, but when trying off a psu, it all goes to hell. if i shut the psu off, the pico clicks and speeds back up in trigger mode, then it can trigger at almost 10mv.

I've been trying for hours.. please anyone what am i doing wrong.

You try to trigger on a single bit difference of the ADC.
this is not what triggering is suppoost to do.

You can for example trigger on the startup curve of your psu.

trigger single and at 5V for example.
turn the power supply of and on and you have a trigger.
