Oscilloscope Ihput Resistance Tempco

Post by empower_spc »

I own and love a PicoScope 4444, a truly differential-input model. We're using this scope to measure electrical power with exquisite precision. The 4444 is certainly capable of it!

The probes I've designed invest in resistors with 0.1% precision and a temperature coefficient of 10 ppm / 'C. They're expensive, and if the scope itself has worse tolerance, it's sort of a waste.

The input resistance of the Model 4444 is specified as 1 meg ohm. Where could I find information about what to expect for the temperature coefficient of the scope's input resistance? Is it 10 ppm/'C or 500 ppm/'C?

Please email support@picotech.com for this request and provide them with details of your probe and whether you are using the single or double BNC to 9 way adapter. The team will then be able to discuss this in detail with the engineering team.
