Hi there, on my 2205A, trying to set up my phase rules to measure and divide 720deg of rotation. The default is to 360 deg. Using the Custom setting does not seem to work - simply adds the figure "720" to each of the degree divisions as in - 0 720,90 720,180 720 ,240 720,360 720?? Can I set up to measure divisions at 0deg-720deg ??
Alex
Ok thanks Gerry, interestinly you can wrap the phases and use the two horizontal timebase rulers to mark a 180 and 360 point beyond the 360deg partitions marked by the phase rulers.
But, I'm a bit confused as to what use can be made of the Custom setting on the phase rulers? Entering a value does not seem to generate partitions of that value, but defaults to 360deg or 100% depending on what the immediately previous phase partition was in use?
I believe that I may have misinterpreted your question. I thought that you wanted to interpret 720 degrees of rotation at the second phase ruler, instead of marking cycle end points along the waveform.
The functionality should be more intuitive in the new version of software soon to be released (the original intention may have been to be able to, for instance, switch to Rads, but the numerical values are not adjustable, which is what the documentation implies, so this may have just been an incomplete implementation).
Perfect!
Thanks Martyn, I couldn't figure that out. It wasn't explained in the Manual.
