using pico to measure long period signals

Post by Martin9000 »

I am interested in recording period information for pulses sub Hz eg with period of 6s or more. Would the pico scope be suitable? I would like to perform some anaysis on the periodicity of theses signals, for example to extract min, max, mean and statistical deviation from the mean.

Hi Martin,

The answer to your question is yes. A PicoScope 2204A (see here: https://www.picotech.com/oscilloscope/2 ... 0-overview) would be able to easily capture your low frequency pulses, and you can then use an Automatic Measurement of frequency in our PicoScope 6 software, which will give you the statistical data for up to 1,000 captured waveforms.
