Looked at the CM3 DataLogger but it looked like it was AC only. Found the current probes, such as TA167 that will do both AC&DC but not sure which data logger to match to.
The answer to your question completely depends upon what it is that you are trying to achieve. So could you explain, in detail what you want do with the device?
Measure DC current upto essentially 50Amps for a Hydrogen ingestion unit for data logging changes in current consumption. Later, the set-up could be used to measure AC on motor circuits all under 200Amps. The probes that can readily measure AC or DC are pretty clear but the collector side is not.
One decimal place and up to three channels maximum. This would allow me to measure the DC channel or an AC 3phase motor (Phase A,B,C) current. For these projects that is all I really need.
O.K., up to 1 decimal place of 200 is a full-scale range of 11-bits, so you would need a 12-bit PicoScope. That leaves you two choices, depending upon whether or not you will also be measuring potentially hazardous voltages.
