We are using a TC-08 and Picolog 6 software to test the temperature rise of our system. We are interested in the point where the system reaches thermal equilibrium and the temperature readings all plateau.
The standards we apply to our equipment design define the equilibrium point as a rate of change of less than 1C/hour.
I had hoped that we could use the math channel to perform a derivative function with respect to time but this doesn't appear to be possible.
There is currently not an option in the maths channels of PicoLog 6 to do derivative on data.
I have raised this feature request with our development team
I would second the request for a derivative function in Picolog. I would also suggest the addition of averaging to cover all channels as an option, along with a selectable sample count to use for the averaging.
We're planning on releasing an uodate to PicoLog 6 with an initial version of the "rate of change" feature. We appreciate users have different requirements for rate of change including instantaneous value, direction and trend plot, so I am interested in hearing more in detail about your application, and whether you would be interested in trying the feature as we improve and add your requested features.
