1-wire serial decode?

Post by tony@mercerhome.net » Tue Apr 23, 2013 11:22 pm

Any plans to support serial decoding of the Dallas 1-wire protocol?
Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

This isn't one of the protocols that are currently supported but I've submitted a feature request.

Hi Tony,

Do you already have a PicoScope? If so, could you please send a .psdata file with a captured 1-Wire signal to support@picotech.com in order to help implement and test a new decoder.

Thanks,

Update:

Serial decoding of the 1-wire protocol will appear in the next Beta version of PicoScope.

I realize that this thread is rather old, and I apologize.

A previous post said that the Dallas 1-wire protocol would be supported in the next picoscope beta and that was a while ago.
Was Dallas 1-wire ever actually supported in the Serial Decoding feature?
Is it currently supported?
How can I use the serial decoder to analyse 1-wire digital signals?

I have a background in programming, and I am familiar with the specifics of the 1-wire protocol so I would be
willing to develop this feature if necessary but I would rather not invest the time if it has already been done.

The ability to define your own protocols is scheduled for inclusion in the next Beta release of the software. In advance of this the attached document describes what you will need to do when it is available.

Soon.

They are just merging in some development code and then some light testing before releasing it.
