Re: I want to buy a latest technology based oscilloscope

This depends totally on what you want to do with the scope.

Re: Uart Serial Decoding: pb. with 2 characters (too?) close

Can you post the .psdata file
Or put a dropbox link in.

Edit: the sample rate of the scope needs to be at least 10 times the baud rate (preferred 20 times)

Re: Serial Decoding I2C - How choose a no standard frequency

as far as i know the i2c protocol is a a-synchrone protocol, the speed of the clock signal determines the transfer speed. So it should not matter which speed you choose.

Re: timebase cannot be moved horizontally

how do you get the wave form to move horizontally? Simple things in life are not so simple? we need to look at Modbus RTU data and cannot get the waveform display to move to the left to monitor the data. My colleague said we should have purchased a data scope. Appears that the display cannot be mov...

Re: Manual single trigger in PicoScope 6

This is quite simple if you know how to do it. 2017-12-01 15-42-29.png 1st set trigger to single trigger at the middle red arrow. 2nd set trigger point (yellow diamond) outside the voltage area and to the most right position possible, so it gets never triggered (right red arrow) 3th if you have chan...

Re: Question about block mode

This is possible ..... but, between the blocs is a considerable amount of time you don't sample anything. So if the timing is to be done in this single block you can do this (single trigger) After that you need about 10 - 40 seconds to get the 800MB of data from the scope to your PC. Before you can ...

Re: High pulse width measurement inaccuracy

In the psdata with digital on you can see the timing difference in the visual representation also. If you switch between sample 2 and 3. I suppose the software is missing samples without detecting it is missing samples. Normally the software will notice you is the PC can't keep up with the scope sen...

In the following topic is explained how it is calculated,

topic28921.html

Maybe this explains the differences you see.

Re: High pulse width measurement inaccuracy

There is an enourmus difference in sampling speed.

2500 kS / sec in the first image.
12.27 kS in the second image.

this is a factor of 200 so the result will be a factor 200 worse.

Re: Trigger at second falling edge, not the first

1st i would set the trigger at -40 mv and see if it happens again. It looks like you have some hysteresis set at the trigger settings, this is the only reason why this could happen. the trigger happens at the 10th crossing or so if it was a normal trigger. If it is an hysteresis trigger then it fire...

Re: Splitting or truncating-Converting big psdata file to ma

If i remember correctly scilab 64 bit can read the v4 files without problem.
It should also be possible to save them again in v5 format (I think)

Re: CAN serial decode demo config?

I have saved some waveforms of automation projects over here

http://www.ans-net.nl/picotech/

I don't know if you can make big capture files with the 2204A
But this is a example of a bus with more than 1000 messages per sec.

Re: CAN FD diagnostics

the frames are invalid because they are not fully captured. Depending on the scope type and the amount of memory in the scope you can increase the time base to 10 or even 100 ms / div. As long as the sample rate stays above 5MS/sec settings for 10ms / div 10ms settings.jpg settings for 100ms / div (...
