Re: 2 problems and a feature request

I’m three weeks late to the discussion but would be interested if there are any conclusions about the first problem please. It sounds a bit like my missing traces, as per my recent post ‘Signals often not displayed’. I too am often looking at ‘slow’ signals, with the timebase set to 1/2/5S with my 2...

Signals often not displayed

Looks like this (the first of my several posts yesterday) didn't get sent or failed to arrive I'm using PicoScope 6 (r11-10) on my old XP PC in the shed workshop, with the Series 2 2050A and have several problems. Some at least are no doubt due to the long gap since I started reusing it recently, a...

Re: Macro Recorder not recording all steps

Thanks for that work-around. Tested OK here in Win 10 with the Demo program and will do so on shed XP PC later. Perhaps the Help documentation should mention its limitations? BTW, what's the consensus on the most useful way to display two signals? - Coincident, i.e. no change - Auto-arrange Axes - T...

Re: Missing trace in demo program

Thanks, that sounds likely. Must have done that in the upper window (Ch A) and then used Views > Close View.

Missing trace in demo program

This seems to be another example of my post late yesterday about signal traces sometimes not displaying. (Not yet seen this published, but the later three did appear?) But this time I'm running the DEMO program of PicoScope 6.11.12.1692, hoping that this might make discussion/reproduction easier. Bo...

Why no immediate display of DC supply signal?

I have a 4V DC supply to a croc clip which I am tapping on the +ve input to Ch A. What should I see? I was expecting a blue line at 4V to appear and disappear with each touch. But on most of the times I've tried this I get no display at all. I've so far not established what differs on those occasion...

How to change the macros location?

As discussed with Andrew by phone this afternoon, I'm unable to find how to change the folder in which macros are saved. I want to do so following a reorganisation, but the program insists on placing it in the old folder. And, unlike .psdata files, it doesn't save to the previously saved location. T...

Macro Recorder not recording all steps

I recorded what I thought would be a relatively simple macro: 1. Started with signals on Ch A and B as shown here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f5bbmxc6t4rmjcb/PicoMacroProblem-1.jpg?raw=1 2. Views > Add View https://www.dropbox.com/s/quow3zb1md99xil/PicoMacroProblem-2.jpg?raw=1 So far so good. 3. Righ...

Re: Probe inputs wrongly displayed

OK, thanks, understood. Down to me then. It's been a year or three since I used PicoScope in earnest. So either I've totally forgotten that aspect of my previous workflow or the software has changed. But I can never recall seeing a 10V signal reported as 100V! With the slider in any of its two posit...

Re: Probe inputs wrongly displayed

Thanks for the fast reply, Martyn, but surely I don't have to make that setting change every time I move the slider? That's never been my experience over many years use of PicoScope usage.

Probe inputs wrongly displayed

Had a 'phone discussion about this perplexing problem with Gerry in Technical Support this afternoon and promised to let him know results of my subsequent trouble-shooting. Also hope to get other's feedback here please. I'm using PicoScope 6 (r11-10) on my old XP PC in the shed workshop, with the Se...

Re: PWL not working as it should?

Thanks Martyn, much appreciate the weekend response. That would have been nagging me all day today!

I'll try those suggestions later today.

That design sounds like a surprisingly backward step compared to using Picolog with my old ADC 200/50? :(

PWL not working as it should?

I installed PSW with help from Tech Support yesterday and it's working OK. Today I installed PWL, apparently successfully, but it seems to be faulty, or provoking a fault in the h/w unit itself. This occurs during the settings stage, regardless of whether or not any signal input is connected. It's i...
