Re: Error reading THD+N

Any news on this?

I'm a long time user of Picoscope 3224 and I'm about to invest in a new scope - 4262 - for a workstation.

With a 16bit scope I'm happy to use it for Audio analsis but proper functions for distortin analysis is essential for a purchase.

Has this been fixed?

The starter of the thread, Don, asked a question and I tried to help and get a discussion going. Then someone writes this in the third post of the thread; //Unfortunately that note does not answer his nor my question. // That is not "common courtesy" in my book. Now are you Don? And if so why are yo...

Unfortunately that note does not answer his nor my question. First, I never said it did. Second, who are you and what is Your question? Third, in that thread guidelines are given that should be useful för Don. Forth, I also have questions and some problems and hopefully answers will be given in th...

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I tried the settings you mentioned in Picoscope 6 but I get a series of peaks.. a comblike graph with very poor resolution. What is it that I'm missing? The peaks are at a greater distance than the bins/FFT points suggest. Setting the sweep slower packes the peaks closer bu...

Thanks, I understand!

Just want to understand how the input works, partly out of curiosity, but also so I use the Scope in the most effective way.

Would it be better to mail questions to Pico instead of bringing them up on the forum?

Some questions about Picoscope 6

There are several things I have not been able to find an answer for reading the manual. 1- The voltage meter (like a multimeter) that could be opened by a click in PS 5, is that removed from the new PS 6? 2- X/Y oscillocope, how do I open that in PS 6? 3- Reading the application notes I could see th...

Input circuitry PS3224

Hi!

About the input circuitry of the PS3224.

If possible..

I would like to know the actual max input to the AD.

How many different attenuations are there? One setting of switched resistors (or equivalent) for every range from 20mV to 20V?

Any gain for low level signals?

Hi!

In another spectrum analysis program I use with a firewire soundcard a Kaiser7 window/filter is suggested and used for analysis of distortion. This seems to give better results than the options in Picoscope. Any plans on adding other filters/windows for Picoscope?

I have a PS3224 and use Picoscope 6 right now. I want to be able to set the sampling speed at say 40kHz but still set the scope window at for example 1 second per div. I would like to se the scope paint the trace from 0s to 5s (or a minute or more) and then zoom in and scroll. If I set the scope for...
