Re: PicoVNA, programming

Best delimiter in numeric CSV files is semicolon ";". Historically, it was used predominantly, no idea why people started using coma ",".

Your posting should have become automatic after a few posts but for some reason didn't, I have corrected this and added your true post count :)
Thanks a lot for both!!
Gave a good one!

Re: Relative time between triggers Rapid Block Mode

Hello! Sorry to resurrect this but it is the right topic. I also want to add how much of an improvement would be if at least 3000 and 6000 series would have support in Picoscope software to show relative timing between captured segments (normal and rapid mode). For multiple segment protocol captures...

Re: Background Colour in persistence mode

I think the analog option in persistence settings keeps the colour, but I will report the issue to the team. Hi Martin! Unfortunately it doesn't even let you choose unless you go to custom persistence mode. And then it won't remember the setting all the time. After going back to normal scope mode a...

Re: How to measure the rise time? Results are emty.

You are not using time rulers (square ones, you pull them from left side). You are using phase rulers (round ones, you pulled them from right side). Check help documentation..

Re: TC-08 Detecting a mains On

Glovisol,

thank you for your clarification.
I already agreed trafo route is a good one.
Just wanted to clarify that opto is not that much more complicated or less robust like it looked from your post..

Tanti saluti

Re: TC-08 Detecting a mains On

Dear glovisol, I would just like to comment on your post. 1. Of course photocoupler circuitry would need some kind of PCB. As would circuitry on a secondary of transformer. Unless you just want to simply hang stuff in the air, flopping in the wind... 2. Photocouplers with 5000V RMS isolation go for ...

Re: TC-08 Detecting a mains On

You can use one of the Photovoltaic optoisolators.. On primary side you connect it as you would an ordinary optocoupler. On isolated side, instead of phototransistor, it has photovoltaic cell that produces voltage... It can be used to directly drive mosfet gates.. You can attenuate that to needed vo...

Re: Trigger Holdoff

We do understand, however there are so many features already packed into PicoScopes that there is very little, if any space left, so adding new features has to be considered very carefully, alongside all the other additions that have been requested, and the availability of engineers to do the work....

I appreciate it, thank you very much for great support..
If any help with testing or working out details is needed I'm willing to help with that as much as I can..
Best regards,

Re: Time offset?

Hello and sorry for reviving an old thread, but it seemed more appropriate than opening a new one! As far as I know channel deskew still doesn't exist. It is a fundamental feature, and it has no place in math channels. It is something routinely used with current probes for instance, and in a perfect...

Re: Manual single trigger in PicoScope 6

This is quite simple if you know how to do it. .....The capture keeps running (and scrolling on the screen) until you hit the spacebar again. Benno HI Benno, what you say works as you explained, but I'm afraid has nothing to do with "force trigger" button. Sometimes you are trying to setup trigger ...

Re: OpenDocument Spreadsheet export thumbs up

Hi!
I also welcome it, except the fact that when I tried it and opened it in Excel, numbers were formatted as text.
Easy to fix when opening file, but could be made to export it in a right format.

Re: Manual single trigger in PicoScope 6

Hello,

I concur with Andreas. There is no "Force trigger" on Picoscope UI, which is exactly what Andreas is talking about.
It is something that is used a lot in interactive work. That would make nice improvement, and shouldn't be too much of work....

Cheers.

Re: Comma as decimal point

Hello! Just to report that in software version: 6.13.2.3439 (beta) on Croatian locale the workaround with semicolon symbol ';' for the list separator, in maths channels doesn't work. We also have comma as a decimal point. As far as CSV delimiter, good choice is semicolon. That way both decimal point...
