In rapid block mode you cannot tell how many segments the scope has captured until the scope is stopped. If you stop the scope before the scope has finished, you cannot read out any of the captured data. This has been changed in the newer PS4000a.dll driver by using the ps4000aGetNoOfProcessedCaptur...
The SDK for PS5000 and PS5000A files relate to difference drivers. A single driver covers multiple models of scopes. See the this post with the device driver table- https://www.picotech.com/support/topic15321.html As for using multiple drivers or scopes at the same time, this is possible. You need t...
The Labview examples for the PS2000A driver covers most capture modes of the scope including the AWG.
You need to combine one of the capture mode vi's and the AWG vi.
I suggest combining the block capture to start, this is the easiest to use.
The 'PS3000A' part of the SDK zip refers to the driver name not the scope model number see- topic15321.html
The Labview examples for the PS3000A driver covers most capture modes of the scope including the AWG.
There isn't a way to do from the picolog software. But if you create a settings file and then edit it, you can reorder the channels. 1. Save a settings file- (file menu - save as - set to pls file type). 2. Close picolog and open the pls text file. 3. If you search for ' [Parameter ' and look at the...
Hello, The labview examples are currently setup to use the 32 bit driver. You need to change the labview to use the 64 bit version of the dll see- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiW71gQObn8#t=58 Also see Point 9 on change to function calls for 64 bit- https://www.picotech.com/support/topic12601.htm...
Unfortunately maths channels can not be controlled with marcos. There is a feature request, for all of the controls in Picoscope to be add to the macro recorder.
The Lowpass filter in the channel options can be controlled via marcos
I have listed the specs below for the 5000 series.- ±50 mV to ±20 V ranges, 12-bit mode or greater ±0.25% typical @ 25°C (±1% of full scale max @ 20 to 30°C) ±50 mV to ±20 V ranges, 8-bit mode ±1% typical @ 25°C (±3% of full scale max @ 20 to 30°C) ±10 mV and ±20 mV ranges ±2% typical @ 25°C (±5% of...
There is no way to save to text files automatically. If you want to convert the files on another pc manually, just download another copy of the software- https://www.picotech.com/downloads/lightbox/picolog-5 You can also setup picolog software to run in client/server mode.- -Setup picolog with the T...
You may have to reconnect the scope in the extender's control panel window. This should only happen first time the scope is connected with the PicoScope software. (We have tested a similar device) (PicoScope software disconnects the scope to load the scope's firmware) Have you tried connecting your ...
Hi, The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) developed these standards. Starting in 1990's- J1708 is the physical layer (i.e., or wiring), and J1587 – the message layer or data format. This had a limited speed of 9600 bits/second. Then later J1939 was created with speeds of 250 Kbits/second then up...
A shunt resistor would be the most accuracy, until the power resistor becomes to much. Above say an amp then a current clamp would be a better option. The most accuracy logger to do this would be the ADC-24. Has 24 bit ADC, with multi voltage ranges. ( 7 ranges from ±39 mV to ±2500 mV) If you need a...
I created a batch file which uses a pico macro to save every measurement from each buffer in a psdata file. But you have tell the batch file how many buffers there are in the psdata file. To use- 1. Open the your saved psdata file, note the number of buffer waveforms. And set up the measurements you...
