Re: Trigger setup

You can not trigger of a math channel so that won't work. If you use a laptop without power supply (eg floating from ground) the you will be better of setting channel a to signal + and the ground clip of channel A to signal - and disable channel B. Set channel A to DC (not AC) and try again. Best is...

Re: Decay time measurements of LEDs

Non of the AWG scopes can deliver 200mA at the output. But a simple driver as shown below can do the trick, you need a adjustable bench power supply set at about 3V. 2023-09-08_09-54-52.png You can use a probe between GND and Probe-1 to measure the current in the LED (0.1V is 200mA) And use the othe...

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

The signal generator is referenced to GND, and the input channels are also referenced to GND.

So the GND of both generator and input probes are connected !

Re: Advice on memory and waveform capturing

for automotive they have only 1 scope that is hardened against the harsh environment of a car ant that is the 4425A and 4225A it has 250M/Samples of memory. You tal about 100uS/div but what the sample speed (if you have 100 samples / div ) you get 1uS/sample rate. you can do this in streaming mode a...

That probe has also a common ground clip so will destroy your scope and pc if you connect the clip to something else than the GND of your application. A USB isolator won't help because the ground clips of all the scope inputs are connected together and you can make a short trough your scope and dest...

Re: 4824A Sample interval trouble with python

In streaming mode your are limited to the maximum speed of the USB bus not the limit of the scope. because all data is in realtime transmitted over the USB bus. (internal memory is used for short hickups int the transmission) See scope specs for max streaming sample rate. The ADC values are factory ...

make sure your alligator clips are always connected to the GND of your projects.
If you want to make other measurements (e.g. pwm over dual H-Bridge) then use a differential probe.

Re: Logging of serial decoder data

In PS7 you have an option to export the decoded data to a .csv file I think it was in PS 6 also the case. An other option is use a Arduino or something like that with at least 2 serial ports to log the RX and TX data to your PC. Or have a PC with 2 RS232 ports and log both ports at the same time 1 f...

Re: Pico 4444 using Picolog to Remotely monitor Amps and voltages

What I sometimes do (when the scope is not onsite but somewhere in the country), take a intel NUC computer you can get them for cheap and run windows 10/11, and do a temviewer (or comparable session to it). I actually use my own written software for this. So you can enjoy full screen wave forms on a...

Have you calculated the amount of data store that they need to have for that to work on 1ms intervals.

Re: Pico 4444 using Picolog to Remotely monitor Amps and voltages

Picolog can capture from a 4444 device. If you want a long distance remote desktop to a laptop with the scope is a simple solution. A silex DS-600 can be used (I have tested this for this answer) works with picoscope and picolog. You will probably need to connect the scope 2 times because of the pic...

Re: Picoscope 2205a not found as a device when running the python code

you can not use picoscope software and the SDK at the same time.

Possible you need the ps2000a driver (not sure I only have 3000 and 4000 models)

Re: Sampling Mode 2204a

The scope has only 8kSample memory so for 2 channels you can only capture 4k samples. (at max probably 2k) A solution would be to use streaming mode (only up to 1M sample / sec) (500k Sample when 2 ch used). for 20kHz signal that should be no problem and you can keep streaming at 1M sample / sec 24/...

Re: BUG: Single Trigger freezes signal

Your trigger signal is probably too low to fire the trigger.
try setting it to -2V or auto if you don't have a trace.
