We have a holiday weekend here (Labor Day) too. I should be back in the lab Tuesday (or possibly tomorrow if I "feel" like it...lol). I try to get some data then with the new release.

I am a bit surprised the data I sent earlier didn't have the spur. Odd. Anyway, I'll try it again...

Were you able to use the earlier file I sent?

Thanks. I had sent some data for another problem that was Ticket #TS00003967. There's a pretty good chance that the spur will show up in that data. If you could use that data it would save me a lot of trouble. If you can't, let me know.

Hi Jom, In order to be able to identify this we need to know the following: 1) What settings you have in the software, could you send a settings file so we can try and do the same set-up 2)How are you connecting the inputs to the scope (are they terminated), what kind of cables are you using? 3) Wh...

Comment #1: It is not always the case. But it did happen again yesterday with the Vrms value. I did notice yesterday that the Vrms value was ready "not enough data". This was odd since there was a LOT of data given my timebase was pretty high so as to get a good spectrum view. I'll try to get that p...

OK, if manually adjusting the axis is out of the question then I'd point out that often when using the scope it doesn't seem to give maximum use to the time domain y-axis so that a good range can been seen on the spectrum. For example, when I have a two-tone measurement I need to see it will depend ...

5203 Scope creates spur

Hello I've been giving my new 5203 a good workout lately and have noticed a spurious tone at 8 kHz that seemingly is coming from the scope. I'm working on an HF radio so when I see spurs I certainly don't immediately think it's the test equipment. But I actually turned off the supplies and the other...

Problem with "Measurements".

Has anyone noticed that the time domain Vrms and the Frequency measurements are wrong. I've got a time signal at 40 kHz 2Vpp that the measuremens say are 230 mVRMS and 28 kHz. Also, the SINAD measurement on a frequency domain needs to be "edited" then hit "OK" for it to reset or some such. Otherwise...

Hello Mark

Thanks for the reply. :D

I was wondering if you had implemented a way to manually ADJUST the y-axis of the spectrum view similar to that of the regular time-domain view. I would be nice to able to have control such as zoom-in and zoom-out or whatever.

Thanks

Since I'm not getting an answer to this I thought I'd show a picture of a Spectrum view that I'm referring to. See this page under "Spectrum Analyser": http://www.picotech.com/picoscope-oscilloscope-software.html Why is it I can't have a view like that (with the noise floor) on my 5203 software? Tha...

Thanks for the link. About the Spec view: I was told in another thread that the "floor" of the spec view was set given the data. When I inquired that I though you should be able to manipulated the vertical axis manually so you can see the noise "floor' I was told it might be something they fix in a ...

No answer to the above question? Anyone?

Also, I'm curious: Is there supposed to be a .pdf file of the user guide? I noticed there is one that corresponds to the PS5500.en.chm but not one for the psw.en.chm. It would make it a lot easier to print if you did.

Thanks

About 250 MHz probes...

Is there a way to get the schematic of the the 250 MHz probes that come with the 5203? I would like to use them (because they are very good probes) for use with a 50 Ohm input spectrum analyzer (not the Picoscope but a "real" one). I don't have anything else handy to do some board probing and I need...

Funny sound from 5203

Hello I got a relatively new 5203 scope. I've only used it a few time but today I noticed a distinct BUZZ sound that seems to come from near the place where the power supply is plugged in (back right side). Usually, this is a sign of a problem. I've seen no effect to the scope but it is a concern. A...
