Re: PicoScope 5000 series using LabVIEW2014 64 bit

Hello Ahmad,

You are using the 5000GetRapidBlock vi this does not use the wrapper vi. The wrapper is only needs when using the scope in streaming mode. Do you want to do streaming?
What are errors for GetBlock and GetRapidBlock vi?

Re: feature request/bug report: cursors window

Hi Steven, The first issue – having no ‘ruler window’ when there’s no ‘analog sub-view’. This has been raised before and there is an existing bug. I have added a few more votes against the bug, for you. The second issue- Not being able to resize the split between the digital and analog sub-views, to...

Re: Assign Channels to Views

Hello, I did not have a Mac at hand, but I tried the Linux version (6.10.1.36) As both are based on the same code base and use mono. But I found the menu option to select channels for views was missing. The picoscope versions for linux and mac are currently beta and do not yet have all the features ...

Re: light sensor

The light sensor on the DrDAQ is a photodiode, it has no colour filter or focusing lens. You will find graphs of 'Typical Photodiode Spectral Response Curves' on the internet. As it has no focusing lens, over the area of the photodiode, this makes hard to calibrate the sensors intensity. The light i...

Re: Triggering with a TTL signal

Hello Sam, I assume you are using the scope with our picoscope software? I would use the Aux input, as you cannot easily sync the signal generator to the scope capture. The Aux input is a 50 ohm input, so as along as the camera can driver this load, this would work. And set the trigger to mode to si...

Re: Stored oscilloscope data to specrta

Hello Hannes,

Yes you can, open a psdata file (scope view capture)
To add a spectrum ‘view’-
Right click anywhere in the waveform view buffer, choose ‘add view’ -> ‘Spectrum’
You may need to use the zoom tool, in the new spectrum view.

Re: noise of PS 5243A to high

Hello Egonotto, What noise level are you expecting? Is there anything connected to the input? Could you email into support@picotech.com a spectrum plot data file with scale in dBu, for this issue. (15 bit vs 8 bit) To create a psdata file- Go to ‘File’ menu -> ‘save’ -> enter file name (file type sh...

Re: SPI Decode fault

Yes I can see the issue you are having. The software is decoding the bit stream as if it's been moved to the left. Currently there are issues with some of the serial protocols. And we have a number of bugs relating to SPI decoding issues. Development is currently working fixing and improving all of ...

Re: Two channel simultaneous data acquisition

Have you checked each ‘call library function block’? Are you using 64 or 32 bit LabVIEW? The answer to your acquisition with 3207B is no- The device can sample at a max of 500MS/s, so in block mode this uses uses the devices internal memory of 512M. So; (512M memory/2 channels) / 500MS/s = 0.512s = ...

Re: Two channel simultaneous data acquisition

Have you copied the wrapper dll into the resource directory in your LabVIEW installation directory? i.e. C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2013\resource Or LabVIEW has not made the connection and you will need to open each ‘call library function block’ See-( https://www.picotech.com/supp...

Re: Two channel simultaneous data acquisition

Yes you acquire simultaneously data for both channels in labview- In the 3000aExampleBlock.vi- for example press ctrl-E for block diagram. Find the unconnected control wire for Channel B control, its next to Channel A control on the ‘PS3000 Settings’ block. Right select ‘create ‘ sub menu ‘Indicator...
