Topic: Temperature Logging with ADC-100

Hi, To use the ADC-100 to measure temperature you would need to aquire a signal conditioner that can measure the temperature and then convert this into a voltage reading, so that the ADC-100 can then pass the value to the PC. Once the voltage is in the software it would then have to be scaled back t...

Hi, I have just tried this on a Windows operating system using Borland, I send 0x01 to the TH-03 via the serial port and recieved 2 bytes back. I seems that the documentation is incorrect. The linux code is designed for the version 1, and not the version two, we are going to look into this, unfortun...

Hi,

The values returned by the excel macro are ADC counts which have to be converted into voltage. Therefore it would be up to you on how the result is displayed.

Hi, I have got a copy of the psw.pdf for both the website and the one from the CD 5.08.6, since this is the latest disk I am assuming that this is the one you also have. I have done a comparison using a software tool between the two files and found them to be identical. I also did the same with the ...

Hi, Check the ADC-16 on a different PC, does it still give you the same results. When you checked the voltage you did connect the ADC-16 and then start Picolog, before testing the voltages. Have you checked the conformity of the serial cable that you are using. It should be straight through. If you ...

Hi, The accuracy is 1% of the full scale. This means that the reading in the worst case senario will be 1% of the choosen range. It could be less. Picoscope multimeter and scope view will only give you 4 digits. However, the ADC216 will provide more digits if you wrote your own software. Unfortunate...

Hi, We do not recommend our products for medical purposes. However, the unit which will meet your requirements is the ADC216. This unit has a 16 bit resolution, with a maximum voltage range of 20V. The voltage has a selectable range which will reduce the LSB value. The unit can measure 333ksps (166 ...

Hi, If you are intending to use a data logger to take the measurements, I would recommend 2 x ADC212/3. To measure the voltage you will also require an isolating probe x10/x100. To measure the ampage I would recommend three 300A current clamps to be used with the ADC212/3. To connect the current cla...

Hi, I answered your email but here is a synopsis of that: The ADC212-100 will only give you a time period of 20ms, at a 160ns sampling rate. Therefore, it is not capable of providing the necessary 30 ms period you need. To get the time period you want you would have to increase the time period to 23...

Hi, The get_temp function returns 1 when there is a temperature reading and 0 when there is no reading. Check that the port is being opened and the value is one when you use the function open_unit. I would suggest that you test the unit on the port that you are using to see if you are getting values...

Hi,

I am not really able to help on this point as we do not do ASP, but you might be able to find the details from the microsoft MSDN library.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/

Perhaps someone else on the forum would be able to tell you how to do this.
