Re: red light after computer wakes up

Hi metebalci, Unfortunately, we only have complete control over our Hardware and Software products, so it's difficult to address issues that relate to hardware and software that our products rely on, such as Operating Systems and Computer Hardware. Sleep mode for Windows O/S is clearly one of these...

Re: red light after computer wakes up

I disabled USB sleep both in power plan and at the usb root hub at device manager where the picoscope is plugged and it seems to be working OK. I understand the sleep may cause a problem but I think it should recover from that at least by re-plugging (assuming there is no bug in windows or somewhere...

Re: red light after computer wakes up

I understand it is related to sleep but it is quite strange that it does not recover after replugging, and after the sleep it works with linux but not with windows (11). I disabled USB sleep to check if that helps.

Re: red light after computer wakes up

I still experience this issue, after computer woke up from sleep, I found the unit with red light turned on, picoscope could not find it. I have a linux virtual machine running on vmware workstation, I installed picoscope there and connected the unit to virtual machine and it works. Then, I plugged ...

title and axis names for PNG save

Not that important for the display, but when saving a view as a PNG, it would be great if the name of axes is also visible on PNG (as the channel names for XY, as the channel name and time for scope etc.) and the title of the view is also shown as the name of the view on PNG.

keep the Views/Measurements window/panel open

I wish the window (or panel) that opens for example when I click on Views or Measurements does not automatically disappear when I click on anywhere else. It would be nice if this had the keep it open/stuck pin that can be found on other programs so it would function in both ways. When it automatical...

Re: red light after computer wakes up

I think my question is broader than this. I am also trying to use it with MATLAB and sometimes I see red light and when it appears MATLAB cannot find it, PicoScope 7 also cannot find it. Reconnecting USB does not change, red light stays. I guess the red light is some sort of error signal, but why I ...

red light after computer wakes up

I realized 4424A was not working after computer wakes up, there was a red light on the unit, and PicoScope did not find the unit, however it was visible in Windows 11 device manager. Re-plugging the unit also did not help, I had to restart the PC and then it worked as expected. I thought maybe it is...

Re: three issues/requests

Thanks Martyn. Yes I am using the layout like you showed. I think I was wrong to say it is 2x2, it seems a window (either the main or a detached window) can have 4x2 views (4 vertically), but for 1:1 views it may not make much sense because they will be very small and the displays are usually used w...

Re: data streaming problems can be identified ?

I just read the "The USB bottleneck myth debunked" post and I guess I am asking this wrong. I dont mean raw data streaming as I understand the unit only sends the waveform image over USB. To make it clear, I took a screen capture (of XY view, ~1MS/s, no trigger), to me, it looks like sometimes it is...

waveform view update rate/smoothness

I feel sometimes the views are freezing (PicoScope 7 with 4424A, connected to USB 3 port). It is not easily visible, so I am not talking about an obvious freeze, but I think it looks like sometimes it is stopping and waiting for something. Is this type of issues somehow be monitored ? e.g. is it ind...

three issues/requests

I dont know if this is the right place to ask and/or report things, but I observe the following. - I think the screen can be divided to 2x2 grid for views. That may be fine for scope views, but for XY views I prefer to keep aspect-ratio intact so 1:1. All the displays we use are non-square, so they ...

trigger on XY view

Does trigger have an effect on XY view ? I have XY views and also normal scope views, and normally I keep trigger off for XY views but I realized when I enabled it, XY view changes. So I think the answer is yes but what it does for the XY view ? (I am particularly talking about 4424A and Picoscope 7...

If you use the Instruments button at the top you can change the first window to an XY one if you want.
OK, I made it. I should read the manual.

Re: multiple XY displays

Yes you can have mutliple XY displays Thanks, I realized there is a demo mode and I checked the app and I think all I am asking can be done. So I decided to try 4424A. A quick note, in PicoScope 7, I think the first window (scope) that opens by default cannot be closed, whereas in PicoScope 6 it ca...
