Hello Gerry, the only missing specs above are the noise floor and the passband curve. for the 1/f amplifier the noise floor is about 100-200nVpp. But this is only valid if you have selected the input capacitor for low leakage current. (~30 nA max for the 3300 uF). 20210103_Noise_floor_10V_NiMH_Batte...
Hello, after my experience there is no (direct) dependancy between sampling rate and enhanced resolution. The enhanced resolution is only used for the display and gives a sliding average of 256 samples on the display with 4 Bit resolution enhancement. (so some kind of low pass filter for the display...
Hello, I am using a PicoScope 5444A to measure noise of voltage references together with 2 different low noise pre amplifiers. One is a self made 1/f noise amplifier with 10000 fold amplification and limited band width of 0.1 to 10 Hz. Schematic (attached Filt1105w.pdf) see here: http://www.eevblog....
Hello, the offset that you can apply is of course dependent on the selected range. The odd thing with offsets is that it is not shown on the scaling. So a -1V offset in the +/-2V range shows you a -1V value when the input is zero. (with effective -1 to 3V measurement range shown in a +/-2V display. ...
what exactly are the differences between PicoScope 4824 and the brand new 4824A?
From first viewing of the specifications I can see no differences.
Or have I overlooked something?
Will the software work different (in test automation with command line calls?)
Hello I have read that and installed that, I just downloaded your software and when I connect the picoscope with my laptop but in the FRA4Picoscope it says "no compatible picoscope device not found" This happens to me mostly when the PicoScope 6 software is still running and occupying the USB Port....
Hello Aaron, again me with a question for improvement. I am testing my 0.1 .. 10 Hz Low Noise amplifiers with a PS5444A. When I try this frequency range with 24 steps/decade I get several duplicate frequencies. Obviously the minimum resolution of the PS5444A is 0.04 Hz from frequency step to frequen...
Hello, I am doing often noise measurements (0.1 - 10Hz) on voltage references/batteries. This is done by single trigger measurements 10 sec/div. (100 sec measurement time). Sometimes the noise of the source is so low that the normal trigger edge at 0 volts needs a very long time until the measuremen...
Hello Aaron, im using the 5444A. My 2nd question was not to turn off the whole numbering of the axis. I do simply not want 2 same numbers on different places on the y-axis. So I need either a further digit (-41.15) or leaving off every 2nd number of the y-axis. Otherwise the Y-axis numbering is some...
Hello Aaron, thanks for the very nice tool. It helped me to adjust my low noise measurement amplifier 10-100kHz. https://www.mikrocontroller.net/attachment/336083/20170717_AN83_unadjusted_10Hz_100kHz.PNG https://www.mikrocontroller.net/attachment/336188/20170720_AN83_R9_5K19_10Hz_100kHz.PNG I have o...
