Re: HowTo? Probing a asymmetric Signal?

This thing really bugs me.

What is the right way to probe a purely asymmetric signal? Always relying on Zoom is no real solution for me.

Kind regards

Picsoscope Usability Problem: Bad SNR with Unipolar Input Signal?

Dear All, Opposed to audio signals, which are almost always symmetrically centered around zero (=no DC offset) in power electronics almost every signal is unipolar in its nature and therefore asymmetric in reference to the zero-Volt return (=GND). One could also say the signal has a significant DC o...

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

I installed the 32bit SDK this morning (side by side with the 64bit SDK). # Now the PS5444B works just fine, problem solved. # PS2205A works too. One really should read the manual  How can I set the vertical resolution for the PS5444B? What is default (8bit)? Is it possible to access the chann...

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

Oh, sorry for the double-post. Was doing a lot of things in parallel yesterday evening....

Anyway, at the moment I am compiling the requested debug-data. -> done, see attachment

I have installed the 64bit SDK, running on a 64bit win7 machine (lenovo x201).

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

Dear Aaron, I am just playing around with FRA4PicoScope 0.5.5b and my brand new PS5444B and I am facing some problems. The measurement takes very very long. About 2 minutes for 3 steps. Further, looking at the time domain waveforms i can actually see that nothing is sampled. I can confirm that the t...

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

Hello Aaron, I am very exited about my brand new PS5444B. But apparently it is not working with FRA4Picoscope 0.5.5b. (and 0.5.4) Measurement Progreass is very very slow (minutes fro 3 steps). Looking at the debug waveforms tells me, that actually nohting is measured. BTW I have another feature requ...

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

Hallo Aaron, thanks a million! Already downloaded your zip. I'll have to figure out how to call a .dll directly from python. Since Iveneverdonethat before. At The moment I am rather busy at work, but during christmas holidays i might get a couple of days to play around with your API!

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

Hello! yes exactly, i intend to do automated measurements -scripted via python or octave. Most of my lab-equipment is already controlled via python, therefore python is preferred. It's a personal project for my little home-lab - nothing commercial. That DLL-Wrapper Option seems the best solution for...

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

dear hexamer, nice piece of software!!! Works flawlessly with my 2205a. :D Wanted to ask, if there is a possibility to work without the gui (i.e. via command line interface, )? I intend to do some scripted/automated measurements based on python and octave. something like: #1 define measurement param...
