No, my problem with the drivers is still not fixed. I assumed that this was because my windows installation is corrupted in some way. My PC is due to be replaced soon, (a work PC), so I'm waiting until then to see if the problem "goes away". If not then I'll have to return the part.

In the second log, the access to picopp.inf is there, towards the bottom after it has discarded all the other inf files. I'll wait to hear from you about the registry, I'm beginning to wonder if my window's set up is slightly corrupted. However this sort of thing is hard to be certain of so I'd appr...

I made the install log more verbose. It now gives this output, (sorry for the long text) .. is there a way to add attachments to a post? I've checked that all my USB Root Hub drivers are Microsoft, (one of them was PICO!). Attempting to install again gives the following in setupapi.log. Please let me know if this points you to anything. To me it looks as if the USB side is working OK and has correctly read the IDs. Regards John. [200...

Hi Yes, I have local administrator privileges. When I tried to install the software on another PC without admin privileges the setup program told me that it couldn't continue. I've also tried putting picopp.inf, picopp.pnf and picopp.sys into a temp directory and pointing the new hardware wizzard at...

With XP, if you select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install", the next dialogue box asks you to "Select a hardware type, and then click Next". The hardware types available do not show anything like Pico or Scope. I tried checking a few hardware types to see if a pico driver was availab...

I've run out of things to try. The scope works fine on two other PCs, one of which is nearly identical to mine, a DELL desktop running XP SP2. I've also tried cleaning my PC with registry mechanic. I then installed just picoscope version 5.12.3 for the 3000 series. Power cycled the PC then plugged i...

Updating the code had no effect. I tried to install on a different PC and this did work, (althought it did hang up the first time I tried this). The other PC was a Dell laptop running windows 2000. During this install process some of the dialogue boxes said things like "installing picoscope". On the...
