does the current Linux version support this model? (3223 Automotive) I normally use it with standard Picoscope rather than Picoscope automotive. I do not need Automotive functionality.
usbtest finds it with the correct permissions.
Picoscope runs in demo mode as expected.
When i start Picoscope with the scope connected, while searching for devices the power light on the scope goes out. this happens every time Picoscope searches for devices.
The PicoScope 3223 should work with the PicoScope 6 for Linux software, although please note that we do not have an Automotive version of the software.
Could you please locate the trace.xml file corresponding to the session where the software hangs (ensure that it is closed first) or exits and post it here (or e-mail to support@picotech.com). The file can be located here:
I presume you have a white-coloured USB cable with the product? If so, these were replaced with blue USB cables which provide sufficient power to the device.
I did have the white original cable, but I have several other USB cables that I have tried. There does not seem to be any coloration between any specific cable and success or failure.
It does show an error so this has been reported to our Development Team.
If you have any further information on the exact steps to reproduce the issue then this information can be passed on. I have tried adding measurements as shown in the trace file, but at the time of writing I could not repeat the problem on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
there is no set way to duplicate the failure. sometimes I can just open Picoscope and let it run as it opens and it will fail, it does seem like the more interaction there is the sooner it fails.
