Hi,
I've purchased an USB TC-08, but when install the software in a notebook with Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3, no USB driver are installed and when I plug in the USB the pc says hardware are unknown; I have tried to do the search in CD ROM, or in the directory where the program are installed, but nothing to do. I have tried also with the last software from your site, (before I have uninstalled the first software), but also in this case the hardware has not recognized. I have tried to install from CD in another Notebook with Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 and in this case it works. Which may be the difference?
Thank you for your attention and for any help.
Best Regards.
When you install the software there are two TC-08s available, a USB one and a serial one. Did you install it for the USB one?
2nd thing does your PC have full admin wrights? Once you installed the software you then plug in the USB-TC08 a hardware wizzard will come up to install the drivers for the unit. Did this appear?
Hi,
yes I've installed USB TC-08.
2nd I have administrator rights. When I plug the USB TC-08 a hardware wizzard will come up to install the drivers for the unit but without find it (In the notebooks where I've installed the PicoLog software the driver reconize the TC-08 when I plug it), so I have selected to search on CD and on program directory but nothing, the hardware result not installed. There is a compatibility test to do? Another question is not possible to use USB interface with OS Windows ME, is it? Or there is a way.
This seems very strange that it works on one PC and not another, all I would say is the following:
1) Is this the same USB-TC08 you have tested?
2) Have you tried the same cable or different cables?
If you have tried both of these then the only thing I can think of is that there is something with this particular PC. Have you tried different USB ports?
For Windows ME it should work with USB, I would try using an older version 5.16.2.
