Hi,
the device worked fine for years.
Now a 3V-digital signal on channel A exceeds the view when the channel
has been set to +/- 20V (with a red mark !)
A sine wave of ca 1,5Vss is displayed as 24Vss.
When channel B is activated, it shows the same wave as channel A
though its input is left open!
Since last month the signal generator doesn't output anything.
I don't use the power supply, the device is powered by a XP-machine or
in turn by a vista machine (which was fine up to now).
Do you know the problem?
Is there something I can do here (firmware download etc.) ?
Regards
Detlef

Hi
I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems.
Did the scope just stop working or did the problems start after changing something?

Hi Robin,
I didn't use it as a scope for quite a time now, say, two months.
I tried the signal generator lately, but it had no output.
Last thing I remember was checking the new software 6.2.1.4 and
playing with math functions.
I checked the scope again this morning. Attached please find the
waveform. It was a clean 1kHz square wave with 200mVpp on
channel A only. Channel B followed without any probe attached.

Hi Detlef
We did have a bug in one of the beta versions that caused channel A to be displayed on channel B with some 3000s.
First thing to try is either the latest beta or full release.

Hi Robin,
I checked version 6.2.0.18 now with no difference.
During installation there was an issue like " cannot find 3000.dll ".
Do you have a firmware download for the scope itself ?
BTW: A signal on channel B input is not displayed.

Detlef
There is no firmware to download.
It sounds as if your scope could be faulty. Please email your contact details to support@picotech.com and we can arrange to have it back for repair.

Hi Robin,
there's no chance that my playing with maths functions and channels could
have caused some permanent changes?

Hi
No. The maths channels are a feature of PicoScope 6 and do not affect the scope or drivers.
