in order to use fast streaming mode for ps3224 it is stated that the rate of fast streaming is only limited by the computer.
May i know whats the requirement to capture signals effectively fast for a round 10K samples or 100K samples? like how much ram or speed?
I raise this concern because i was trying to run the streaming.cpp example and the rate is slow i am wondering whats the cause of this slow transfer rate to updating the data points. Is it the user interface or what could the problems be?
I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulties.
It is not necessarly the speed at which you want to stream but the amount of data you wish to collect when streaming at 10KSamples per second to 100KSamples per second.
If you only have a small amount of ram in your PC and you want to collect more data than you have free memory then the PC will use the hard disk to store the data, writing to disk is much more processor intentisve than if the data is stored in ram.
The fast streaming can also be effected vastly by the USB port if you are using a USB 1.1 I would expect the streaming to be quite limited. It is recommended that USB 2.0 be used.
Hi, I would like to use the fast streaming mode with a 3224, but I cannot even compile the sample code. Could you send a compiled version of the fast streaming mode?
Thanks,
Massimo
