Picoscope 3000 series Problem

Post by Cyril »

Hi,

I was testing a device when a big spark appeared on the ground part of my 100X probe. I was measuring 220 Vac. Now,
the picoscope isn't connecting to my computer anymore.

When I disconnect the power supply, the Picoscope is recognized by the computer but the message "check USB cable" appear. Then, when the power supply is connected with the usb cable, the picoscope is not detected by my computer.

I suppose the picoscope has been damaged. Is there any solution to solve this issue ? (fuse,...)

Thank you for your support.

Cyril

Please contact support@picotech.com for advice, it is likely that the scope will need returning for repair.

Please note that measuring AC voltages requires specialist equipment to provide a safety barrier, a x100 passive probe is not suitable and can cause damage to the scope, the PC, and the user.
