Then the system crashes no matter if i hit ABORT, RETRY or Ignore.
I notice that even if i set sample rate at 1 per second, sample 1, the data seems to be collected much faster than 1 per second for a few seconds before settling down to 1 per second; if it does not crash before then that is.
If you could please help I would be most grateful.
The error crash happens no matter what inputs I have on or off etc.
THere is a problem with the DrDAQ and USB driver combination. We are working on it and I do not know when our software development team will have a fix.
Please bear with us!

Data sampling crashes with the Pico USB adaptor. Seems strange that the same problems exists after several years. I just bought my adaptor and have wasted hours trying to resolve the issue. On the Microsoft internet help pages it is recommended to clear the "read only" marker of the temp folder and all underlying folders, but... that did not help either.
Sorry for the inconvenience I have tested this and found that the DrDaq driver version 3.3 does exhibit a problem when running Picolog Recorder. However there is a new driver version 3.4 where this problem has been resolved.
If you could email tech@picotech.com requesting the new driver version 3.4, we will happily email the new driver to you.
1) Could you click on help and then choose about and take a screenshot of what you see?
2)Also could you try running the DrDaq in PicoScope rather then PicoLog to see if you have the same problem.
3) Where did you put the dll when you recieved it, should be by default in C:\Program Files\Pico Technology\Pico Full
4) What I would recommend doing is also removing the software, downloading the latest software and re installing, then placing the attached dll in the location stated above and seeing if this works. (Obviously you have to unzip the file and replace the old one)
