CSV file problem with math channels

Post by mkeith »

I have a picoscope 2206BMSO. This is the model with 2 analog + 16 binary channels.

Here is the paste from the help:about screen:

PicoScope® 6 - PC Oscilloscope software version: 6.11.12.1692
Copyright © 1995-2016, Pico Technology Ltd.

Model: PicoScope 2206B MSO
Serial Number: DX102/0012
USB Version: 2.0
Calibration Date: Tuesday, April 05, 2016
Hardware Version: 1
Driver Version: 1.1.6.11
Firmware Version: 1.3.3.0 / 1.0.50.0

I do not see valid data for all channels. I am using some math channels. Don't know if it is a bug or if I am doing something wrong. I think what is happening is that the math channels are being rounded or truncated to the nearest integer. I wanted to upload three different files, but I'm having trouble. I tried to upload the CSV file. Not sure if it worked. If you can tell me how, I will also upload a psdata and screen cap.

In general, the "A-B" and "Invert A" channels seem to be the ones that are wrong. Channel A is not displayed or saved, which is OK (it is not needed except for the math calculations). In principle, I could save A and B and recreate A-B and invert A in post processing, but I am hoping there is a way to get the math channels to save correctly.

If saving in binary format will fix this problem, we can probably use the binary format. It looks like it is well documented. But it would take a bit more work.

Hi mkeith,

We would need a psdata file to see how you have set things up. To upload a file you need to:

Select 'Upload attachment'
Select 'Browse' to navigate to the file you want to upload' then, once selected, select 'Add the file'
Add any comments you want to add to the file you are uploading in the 'File Comment:' box immediately above the name of the file you are uploading.
Place your cursor where you want the file to be added, then Select Place inline.
