USB Connection Problem

Post by Guest »

I am having a problem with my ADC 212, It works fine on my desktop Pc through the parallel port but on my loptop through a pico usb adaptor I get the error message "ADC-212 not connected".

The led on the ADC 212 goes out when the program is started if USB-PP1 is selected but stays lit if any other option is sellected.

when I sellect the help / about menu it shows R 5.14.6 for the sw version
& ADC 200 Driver v4.02 Error 13 (H0 S0) or (S13 H61) or (H255 S255)

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Tony

Thank you for your post.

There are a couple of things to check:

Is the adaptor recognised in the device manager? Is it installed correctly?
How old is your unit? What type of ADC-212 is it? (ie, is it a /3, /50 or /100?)

Let me know how you get on with this.

Best Regards

Hi Sarah

My picoscope is an ADC-212/100, serial no *BAL83/071*

The USB adaptor appears in the device manager list as pico parallel port in the USB section and it says it is working correctly.

The driver is installed in C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\picopp.sys

With the scope pluged in and powered, when I start the picoscope sw the pc makes the "ding dong" dissconnect sound and about 3 seconds latter makes the "dong ding" connect sound and the LED goes out on the scope.
