ultrasound recording with picoscope 2104

Post by pip »

I want to record long sections (30min or so) of ultrasonic signals up to 150kHz. Looking at your range the picoscope 2104 may do this.

Can I use it with the datalogger software to run a continuous capture? sampling at 300kHz I will end up with 540megasamples and 540 Mbytes. It's not clear to me if I can do this in an unbroken run because of the buffer storage issue, and the logger software seems to be limited to 1000000 samples?

Hello Pip,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately the 2104 will not be able to stream data at the rate you are looking for.

The 3000 series is capable of streaming upto 3MS/Sec(machine dependant) but you will need to be a competent software programmer to access this high speed mode.

Further information can be found in the 3000 series manual attached to this post. Opt to post a reply and scroll down the page, then look in the topic review pane for this post.

Best regards,
Michael
